Cannot remember when I came to your blog (but it probably was because of your “Dykstra” name because it is Dutch -and so am I). Today I saw you at Tuesday Texture – interesting hole in your second image -do you know what it’s used for? Have a great week!
See in the sidebar you like weekly challenges. Started one in March, called SEASONS – but I’ll come back to your blog later in the week (photo links are open from Sunday through Wednesday) to leave you a link for next week.
Thanks, Jesh. There are so many challenges, that I usually just do the ones I chance upon or where I get reminders..Bernadette is good at that and I really appreciate your reminding me of this one and I always seem to get to them right after they have closed. Both of my father’s parents came from the Netherlands..His dad from Friesland and his mom from the south.
Yes, once. My sister and I were going to go to look up lost relatives, since after my grandmother and aunt died, no one knew Dutch and so no one kept communicating. But, with present world events, I am not going to travel overseas for awhile. Good excuse to stay home.
It is an old radiator, corroded and covered with sea life. There were several of them on the beach on Prince Edward Island. Curious about why they were there. It was obvious they’d been submerged for a long time.
Very nice examples … Cheers Jamie

Thanks for replying! I’ll take that to heart regarding Seasons. Am still getting used to being so much on my blog after I started with SEASONS:)
Hubby is from Friesland, and I am from Zeeland (SW) Have you been to Holland?

Oh, how sad that it was contamination. Maybe a clean project dug them out. In any case, better out than in.

And the sea is certainly making it prettier.
