In September and October, the fields on the way to the mountain town of Tapalpa, a few hours from my home, fill with millions of flowers, including acres and acres of cosmos. These photos were taken ten years ago and Oscar, the little boy in this photo, is now 12 years old. Perhaps it is time to take his little sister up into the fields this year!
Cee’s posting of her cosmos flowers today prompted me to echo her post.
I love when autumn taunts us with surprises like pinks, and blues. Beautiful photo. Lit up my screen this morning. Have a nice weekend.

We really don’t have leaves turning in the fall. Most trees have leaves year round. My plumeria loses all its leaves, but it is the only one.

Yes, in Arizona it is similar. Our color comes alive over the next few months. Grateful today that I could even open the windows. Love southwest autumn.

Where in AZ are you? My folks lived in Tucson and my sister has a house in Peoria..Phoenix suburb. We used to do the Tubac show and also the Gem and Mineral show in Tucson. I’ve spent lots of time in your state.

We live north Phoenix, closer to peoria than Phoenix. Small world sometimes. I love Tubac. We have only lived here a short time, and love it.

Sorry, Oscar — I couldn’t reaf Judy’s comments until my eye awoke this morning — too much light!

I don’t think little Oscar was very happy at the time to have flowers on his head! Beautiful flowers and photos!

He didn’t object. He loves hats and caps. I’ve given him some good ones.
