I think the mystery is solved concerning how one plant could have such a variety of blooms on it. See clues below.

After a few days, it became clear that there were actually three different colors of kalanchoe planted in each pot! Tres por uno. So much for the variety of buds and blooms on one plant.

So now we know! 🙂 3 for 1 is a pretty good deal. I took a cutting off my Kal on Thursday and have it in water – Hopefully i can replant it soon! Thanks for the tip. 🙂

Actually, if you just take off a leaf, including the little stem that holds it on the plant, put it in water, and in a month it will grow roots. I’ve even seen roots growing out of a leaf that became detached and was a bit shrunken from no water. They are invasive, and as such, easily propogated.
