The background had some very ugly stuff in it so I had to work about 1/2 hour on it as my photo editing program seems to have a glitch in it and kept refusing to remove it or would replace it with squares or would just blur it. Like trying to control a two year old! I liked the final result, though.
I have been thinking about that so much over the past month. Something in the universe just can’t help but create the most outrageous beauty. And it seems like because they usually depend on it to recreate that each element of nature recognizes and appreciates it as well.
They all have this huge pistil/stamen but this one seemed especially protuberant..maybe because the petals were small. I photographed this one in Guanajuato at a hacienda we visited, but I’m home now and I planted a new one a week ago that bloomed for the first time today and it is gorgeous. I’ll post photos tomorrow.
