This video makes me regret having never lived in a place with enough leaves to do this. One of the best short videos I’ve ever seen. I watched it four times! Joyful.

I don’t know that we ever made a leaf pile THAT big, but yup, jumping in a leaf pile – more fun than snow (fer sure).

Now snow I’ve done. I once had a drift so big under my second-story room that I could step out onto it from my window.

My husband was from Detroit, Michigan and his sister’s husband had a cabin up north.. It was beautiful…especially in the fall.

Yes, it sure was, Judy! When I was a kid, you could still burn leaves outside after all the “playing in them” was done. I can still see my father standing alongside the road with those low piles of leaves, and I can smell that lovely autumn aroma of the leaves mixed with smoke.

I was wondering how they get rid of leaves now. Do you have to bag them all? That’s a heck of a lot of plastic to add to the world’s load.

In some cities they may still bag them. In one of the places I lived most recently, you piled them alongside the road and the city/county? came by with large trucks that had attachments like huge vacuum cleaners and sucked them up into the truck. Not sure where they took them.

I love how joyful that dog is and must say I’m jealous.. although I’d probably break something if I tried to do that now.

Marvellous – about half-way through I found I was smiling, and continued to do so.
