I had never heard of voter suppression in California — until this last week, when unofficial “Official Ballot Drop Boxes” were located in various parts of Southern California. They have since been modified or removed, but it made me think twice — I took my ballot to the Post Office, handed it to the clerk, and asked her to hand-cancel it. Yay for the lady who ordered pizza and sodas, and for the others who pitched in to help! It takes all of us to make democracy work!
Fantastic! Yah for her!

Yes, there’s hope—if people are actually free to vote. The suppression is horrible.
