About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

LOL I had never heard that one before, and had to laugh. I know Celentano’s music quite well.
Was wondering if you know Paolo Conte who likes to sing with some english words mixed in. I am a great fan of his and even went to a concert he had in Bern. I must say he mixes the english a liittle more refined into his music than Celentano.

I’m American and I didn’t understand a word but it felt so much like I should. To capture the cadence of a language with nonsense syllables is amazing. I did this once to a small degree in a story once and I know how hard it is. And my few lines of pretend French in no way captured the genius of this work of art.

I have several musician friends from other countries who sing, mostly Jazz, in English, Spanish, and French which I enjoy, One friend, Giulia Millanta, who is “un cantante italiano” from Milan Italy speaks and sings in several languages, especially English, all perfectly, with NO accent~! She tours most of Europe about once a year. She is well educated, her father having been a professor at Universita Deglistudio di Milano.

I sent her and others this clip and she who admires Celentano, liked it too~!

    You may enjoy her Jazz.
