I like it~!! Well it is sad, unless you live on a rain water supply, as I do, then the word of the day would need to be glad…. Beautiful photo it must have been one of those tropical storms, usually rain is difficult to photograph out here except as a haze. Though I have well water which I use in the yard it is heavy with minerals, my inside water comes from the rain and it is sweeter than bottle water~!
I got my covid # 1 yesterday does this mean the I am only 49 % covered until I get the other one ??? It turns out that Houston is flush with the vaccine over the past couple of days and they announced over the air that Hays County where I live is sending out notices, Will probably get mine today after I no longer need it…. c’est la vie~!!
Unless it’s a deluge, washing away a hillside, I’ve never experienced rain as sad. Your photo is beautiful and the poem’s technique, drip drip, brilliant.

The rain is drowning my village at the moment. The fields are grey lakes just now. Great piece presented in a really interesting way. Well done.

Sounds like good photo fodder, Mason.

You’d think so. But great muddy lakes, with more mud and debris don’t seem so pretty for me.

That’s okay. Rural Norfolk is a total mess just now lol.

Yes, rain is sad — unless you live in a drought-prone area, in which case you relish every drop that falls!

So long as no lightning comes with that rain. Double-edged sword. And rain isn’t always sad. Just in some poems ;o)

We always heard lightning puts nitrogen into the soil, so I never mind it.

Problem is that it also causes massive forest fires as in my former home town in CA. That’s what I was referring to.
