This is my friend Georgia King. She was a best friend of both me and Bob, my husband, when we lived in Boulder Creek, CA near Santa Cruz, but after a few years, she moved up to Happy Camp in Oregon and later to Ashland. We used to go up and visit her at least once a year and we would always go bushwacking–as in this photo. Later, we moved to Mexico and her sister ended up living next door to us. What are the chances? We actually met her sister Allenda in Mexico as we knew Georgia had a sister who vacationed in Mexico but we didn’t know it was in Ajijic, 5 miles from where we live. When we finally did figure it out, we offered our home for them to stay in when we went to the states and by time we got back they loved it so much that they decided to move here. Another friend was building the house next door which they loved and when he put it up for sale, I had just sold my house in the States so I offered to loan them the money to buy it. They accepted and paid it off in 5 years and I got the perfect neighbors, as did they..ha. They had to move back to the states a few years ago due to health considerations and now the two sisters live together in Alabama..along with another friend of mine met in Mexico. How the world turns and turns. And that is your story!!!!
