Happy Thanksgiving!

I think I like decorating for a dinner party as much as the party itself! Here are the goofy decs for my party–bar on the patio not yet set up as there is supposed to be a tropical storm hitting at 3 a.m. Let’s hope it stages a Patricia! The turkeys on the backs of the cow are a takeoff of cattle egrets that pick ticks off the backs of cows and also pick through their manure for edibles…My little Thanksgiving weird humor. Nineteen now expected for Thanksgiving comida…All will share by bringing a side dish–all of the usuals. Hope you have a happy day. Judy
Happy thanksgiving Judy! Beautiful decorations… Very nicely done. I hope you have a happy thanksgiving as well. Thank you🤗

Goofgeous! My attempt at combining goofy and gorgeous in one word. I especially like the turkeys standing in for the egrets (I like to think she is giving them one last joy ride — they don’t need to know where they’re going just yet!). How festive and fortunate, I’m sure, to be a guest at your table. The feeling of gratuity will come easy. This is sometimes a tricky feat w/ my folks. WISH I had a cow, but you’ve definitely inspired me to dig out some fun stuff. Anyway, hope the weather is not too bad. Happy Thanksgiving!

Sorry…I’m not very good at keeping track of where people are!!! Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving on a different day, so since there are so many from both countries living here that we usually get two doses of turkey and the fixings per year.

Thanks, John. It will be lovelier once people and food are added, but by then I’m always too busy to take pictures!

Fantastic! The colors are so inviting! And the center pieces will be conversation starters. So festive! Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks, Tildy. Now the babies are whining to be fed and soon 18 people will be, too, so I need to go put in the turkey!! I remember when my mother used to get up at 3 a.m. to do so!

I cannot imagine cooking for that many! Enjoy!

Not that anyone coming would need to be “started” re/ conversation. What I need is a conversation stopper! Ha.

It was but went by in a blur for me. Turkey turned out great, friend Linda made the gravy–about a gallon of it–so that was a relief. Audrey whipped the whipped cream. Doggies barked a bit from their separate prisons but the noise of people talking drowned it out so no one noticed. I took them each a plate of turkey and kibbles..plus an earlier giblet hors d’ ouvre.

You should have come. An interesting group of people. I know you don’t like crowds, but bet you each would have found people you enjoyed talking to.
