I hope to soon have an active dialogue going on here, but it looks for now as though it is just you and me! The most incredible things have already happened as a result of this book, which isn’t even on the shelves or air (Kindle) yet. The quote at the beginning of the book is by my high school English teacher whom I haven’t seen in 48 years! Egads. She contacted me after reading my first book and it was so encouraging to have someone who was a mentor of sorts (although she probably didn’t know it) saying that she was proud of what I’d accomplished. When I told her the topic of my new book, she made the comment that I liked so much that it is the quote opposite my title page. The hand holding the pen in the picture that is behind her quote, by the way, is mine! I’ve also been very gratified by the responses of the ten or so people we’ve sent advance copies to. Some of their comments are given on the opening pages of the book. There have been so many times when I could barely stand to dip into this material again–especially the parts dealing with Bob’s death, but the comments of readers have made it all worth while. I hope my co-author, Tony, feels the same. I think there were times during this process when he might have felt otherwise, but he remained calm throughout!!!
