I need three poems for a competition and seek your help. Do you have a favorite poem I’ve published on my blog that you think I should submit? I can’t use one that has been published before, but if it is only on my blog, I can submit it if I take it off the blog and leave it off. So far, someone has suggested “When My Sister Plays the Piano,” but it was published in another publication so I can’t use it. Please, please give your thoughts. I’m hopeless at choosing what to wear and what to submit! — Judy
I enjoyed “Let there be light“. I like the imagery of your struggle within. 🙂

Thanks for answering, Gracie. It is very interesting to see what people suggest. That’s one I was considering voting for as well so it has two votes! Judy

I really love “Flutter : The Surrogate” and I do think that it can stand alone without the image of the moth – its absence/void would be just as effective.

Thanks so much for your suggestion, Laura…It’s on my short list!!! It’s always hard for me to know what I think of things I’ve recently written, but I liked this one, too, and your opinion is one I value because I know what careful choices you make in your own writing. Not careful in terms of safe but careful in terms of originality. Judy

OK…I love “Moving the Divan“. The whole concept of people treasuring furniture too much is the part I love the best! My couch smells of dog…but, that means “home” to me!

Thanks, Tamara. I had forgotten that one. I’ll add it to the list.

I find it hard to chose what could be in my own book, which I sort of abandoned for now. It hard for some I guess. Like me you have large collection although I am trying to go back to study creative writing: poetry. I hope it will help with critical thinking and re editing 🙂 Good luck.
