Giants of Tapalpa
Just how big are the rocks of Tapalpa?
It’s hard to tell without some frame of reference.
So maybe this will help.
Oscar experienced his first adventures in rock climbing
As well as his first experience in reflective horizon-gazing with big sister Mago.
This is what they were looking at.
And this.
Little did they know that they were part of the scenery.

Magnificent rocks, Judy, set in such beautiful surroundings!

Surroundings are so beautiful and rocks are huge. Ocsar and Mago surely enjoyed the view.

A nice photo story. Loved the last shot. Intrigued by the hole in the big rock on the first pic – is it man made hole or simply weathering ? Mamta

No, just weathering. I’ve heard rumors that they have now built houses among these rocks. The last time I was there, they had drilled holes into them to attach ropes to climb them..Grrrrrr! We are going back in October to see if this is true. If so, I’ll (sadly) post pictures. Hope it isn’t true.

They look shaped and dressed. Are they part of some kind of ancient ruins?
