In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Night and Day.”Have you ever had an experience that was amazing the first time, but terrible the second time around? Or vice versa? What made it different the second time?

One is Sufficient!

I finally have the answer for the prompt you gave today,
for the difference between one and two is just like night and day.
The first time a prompt is given, my heart is light and gay;
and the second time it comes around, I’ve learned to just say, “Nay!”
But the third time  that I see it, I simply must get gruff.
For when it comes to Daily Prompts, just one time is enough!!!!

    Judy… Terrific response. I liked it very much. And may I add:

    This could apply to much in life–The same old tales, the same old strife.
    Once is sometimes just too many, when I never wanted any.
    I think that you are very kind to reply so gently and in rhyme.
    I try my temper to control, but when I’m irked down to my soul,
    I yell.

        I’m at our Colorado home until mid October. Patti and I should arrive about the same time in AZ.

        This home is a different world… all nature and quiet and isolation. AZ is a virtual social event filled with friends and activities. Variety. I love it.

      They are mildly annoying. When you hit the prompt a third time??? You start looking around for other prompts. Granted, the new ones are being suggested by participants, many of whom probably don’t know what the old prompts were. I usually just try to spin of them and write something completely different…or link to the first or second time I wrote to it and then write something else.
