That was a thrill to me, too, when I moved to California! Things grow so fast here that it is actually hard to keep back the “jungle.” My husband used to claim I wasn’t happy until everything slapped you in the face as you entered our property and walked around the deck. I fear that is very true here. I sometimes issue pith helmets to guests. I’ll do so for you when you come to visit!
I can attest to Bob’s claim. Walking around the outside of your house, especially near the front entrance, I become a 6’3″ bobblehead doll, bopping & weaving around bamboo shoots and palm fronds.
I love seeing things like that! 🙂

I used to grow those indoors. I love that you can grow all the stuff in your garden I used to grow in pots.

Ha. I keep intending to cut them. Remember when I had to have the wasp nest removed because you wouldn’t use the kitchen door unless I did???

Now this is a butterfly that I can take my time photographing. Wonderful composition. It is sure nice when mother nature designs for us.
