Wood: Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge

Wood

DSC07686 (1) Version 2

I’ve been waiting for the opportunity to use this picture of a dugout canoe taken on the Amazon in Peru.Β  Black and White is not the right challenge for it, however, as it needs the contrast to green to stand out from all the foliage and other undergrowth rubble.

DSCF1740 (2)I thought perhaps cutting out some of the background would help, but there is still just too much business going on!

About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

The first one is the best for this particular challenge, I think. It helps if you have special software that will sharpen up one part and soften another, increasing contrast by sections. But they are all interesting and very woody πŸ™‚
