   There a great Yiddish word for this that means “overly ornate” and “not exactly great taste.” It’s pronounced “Oongapotchkit” and it is one of those words which English needs 🙂 (Accent on the first syllable.)

         It does, rather. It’s just one of those great words that English doesn’t have. Rolls trippingly off the tongue.
