Just made a ponche with apples, guavas, pears, prunes, jamaica, walnuts, apple juice, guava juice, cinnamon and brown sugar–oh, and a bottle of rum! But no apricots.

Such a beautiful color. I was hoping for something like this when I painted my rented apartment’s clawfoot tub, but it came out high gloss nectarine. Neither of us was too happy.. and “apricot” is such a fun word, isn’t it? It conjures up poems as well as magnificent skies, like the one you captured!

When that happens to me, I just come over it with another watered down color to ameliorate the flashy one. Some of my walls have seven colors, one over the other…like glazes or cloudy washes. If I lived closer I’d come help you do it! Or rub a big of copper paint over it. That can do wonders as well. Don’t give up!!! A watered down white brushed on lightly???

Oh thank you and thank you, but this was zillions of years ago. Gosh, I can only wish we had a clawfoot tub! Those babies offered room to lay down in!
