I have a poetry manuscript of 13 pages that includes 17 poems that I have to narrow down to 12 poems for a submission for an anthology by Monday. Is there any kind soul willing to have a look and give their opinion? I know of several people whose opinion I would especially appreciate, but don’t want to put them on the spot by asking. It just involves making a list of three categories: Yes, Maybe, Not So Much and putting each poem into one of those categories. Fingers crossed. Judy.

Yes, Marilyn. I know how busy you are right now or I would have asked you personally. I had seven volunteers including my sister and two friends not met through blogging, four blogging friends. It helped incredibly, by the way, and I’m going to try this process again. These four bloggers volunteered immediately and three have already sent their opinions back to me. How much more time do you have in AZ? It’s been fun seeing your photos…

They reviewed my poems..but decided we can submit any of our favorite poems we have written, including ones already published. My sister requested I submit “I Used to Eat Red,” which I published in my blog but it is also in an early book of poetry I published, so I think I’ll submit it in place of one of the longer poems. No one seemed to like “Bills” which they thought was really prose, not poetry. So the selection process continues. I’m off to the beach today so I’ll work on it while there. Thanks for asking!!!
