We don’t have no sissy snow fences. We just let the snow drift wherever it wants to go and deal with it. Or stay locked in our houses till it melts. Whichever comes first 🙂
But believe me, I know SF can be cold! It is that damp ocean cold that goes to your bones and you think you shouldn’t be cold because after all this is California! You aren’t a wimp, Robert. A wimp is me when I complain about the cold and my friend in Missouri checks the weather in my town in Mexico and informs me it is 64 degrees––when it is below freezing in Missouri.
Judy, your entry this week is absolutely fabulous. Are those really snow fences? or are they more for sand.

No, Cee. They are snow fences. I took this picture this summer in Wyoming.

Most definitely snow there. I’ve seen them in the desert to.

Yes you are right–along roads in dune areas and sometimes at the beach along residential areas.

But you easterners have more hair on your chests than we weakling westerners do!!!! We need extra protection.

I always feel like a wimp when I go out in San Francisco and complain about the cold; especially with friend on the East shivering under a blizzard.

It s true that the moisture makes the chill run deep. And there is also the fact that after 30 plus years of living here my body has adapted…
Don’t get me started on how awful it is when the temperature rises above 76…:)
