Today, the park along the Ajijic malecon was full of activity, people, birds, Micheladas and these beautiful Primavera trees in bloom. More about the people later. It is 4:15 a.m. and the LOUD Music half a block away above me has finally stopped. Yes, it kept me awake but it sounded like a huge family party. Everyone was singing along with the music and having a wonderful time. During Semana Santa, the week leading up to Easter, we can expect more and more people to flood into town and more and more loud celebrations.
Happy Spring!!!

Very pretty! I think the only thing I’ve seen in the area that has erupted in bloom like that are the magnolias.

Oh I love magnolias. Had one in a pot in California

In a pot? Didn’t it outgrow the pot rather quickly?

No… It never got very big. It was in a sunroom in Wyoming and in spite of its name, didn’t get much sun for six months of the year. Any tree like this usually stays small when in a pot. I only had it for a year or two before I moved to California. I guess it must have sold with the house.

Interesting… I would have thought a tree would have burst out of the pot. Very interesting indeed.

It probably would have in time, but things grow so much slower the further north one goes. I can’t believe how fast things grow here in Mexico, especially during the rainy season.

Not a primavera show in sight in La Manzanilla, which is probably because of H Patricia. Your pics bring back fond memories. Thanks!

The first to blossom in the spring, thus their name.
