Some of these are like things I’ve seen on our beaches — but others are downright spooky! I love the fuzzy crab, and the abalone (?). So sad for the gull!
The bird is a blue-footed booby, obviously blown there by the storm since they are not usually found in La Manzanilla. Several of the photos are of jellyfish which covered the beach one year.
This post actually reminds me of what you state: ” My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life” Although there are dead anumals lyingon the beach we can celebrate those wo are alive.
Exactly..ironic that in this beautiful world, everything feeds on something else–the result being that all must die. It is never more obvious to me than at the beach.
So many mysteries. I’ve never been able to figure out how to change the color of type in my blog to black. Every time, I have to highlight it and change it from gray to black. A real pain, these little glitches.
Oh my, so many dead animals in that shore, I hope it was mostly natural causes because we can sure start to see changes in what we find on the beach lately.
Thanks so much for sharing!
These were found over a two or three year period..but the jellyfish was one of thousands that littered the beach for a few days seven years ago. I think the tide just brought them in and they were grounded.
