Morrie had surgery for a very fast-growing tumor today. Unfortunately, they couldn’t get it all because it was attached to his ribs. He wanted me to share these photos of him being such a good patient. (Once he got home, that is. When I got to the clinic to pick him up I could hear his barks from the parking lot!) We’ll have the results of the biopsy in ten days. Neat sewing and clipping job, don’t you think?
(Click on first photo to enlarge all and see captions. You do want to hear the whole story, don’t you?)
Poor Morrie! But he does have and advantage over his human counterparts. He won’t be worrying about what it all means.

I hope the biopsy comes out negative and he recovers soon!

Nope.. there is blood coming out of those little tubes and I’d be afraid of rolling over on him and knocking one out. Plus, he has to sleep in that cone and I know from experience with Frida that it hurts when they run into you with it. Also: fleas. Ticks. Did you see the post on Lone Star Ticks? Scary.

Poor Morrie!!! I hope the tumor was benign! How nice of Diego to allow Morrie to sleep in the larger crate!

Hey Morrie – Tink here (Mom says she doesn’t know how to get me my own gravitar – but I think she doesn’t want the hassle – no matter).
I feel bad that you had to have an operation, but I feel GREAT to know you are out and still wagging that tail. I think you look great, even in that cone thingie. My cousins on Rainbow Bridge tell me that you’ll be back to your old self in no time – and they know these things somehow.

I think they just don’t trust us not to reveal secrets if we had our own blogs, Tink. I wanted to take a photo of my mom’s surgery and she vetoed the shoot! She needs to be in control.

I know! I get to Guest Post now and then on her blog, but mostly I have to grab the keyboard when she goes to nuke her coffee.
My mom is so controlling she won’t even let me take a photo of her face!!

Well that just shows who has the most intelligence! Doesn’t she realize she has a photo of herself next to her name on her comments? Sheesh. You gotta educate your mom!!! (This is Morrie speaking. Erase this message after reading.)

Was there ever any doubt? Just because we can’t talk doesn’t mean we can’t think!

AW the poor boy. I’m glad you were vigilant and got the tumor removed though, especially if it had begun to get bigger. Huny sends her sympathies. And all she had done was her nails clipped….well the Vet is the Vet is the Vet in their world, huh? Take care Morrie!! ❤

Morrie will be fine. He has so much personality it shines through in his pictures, and the name, Morrie, fits him perfectly!

He does indeed. Going swimming now and it is going to kill him not to be able to play our usual games but I’m afraid he’ll lose one of his drains..and jump in pool. Don’t dare throw his ball for him. Poor baby doesn’t understand.
