When Jesus and Eduardo brought Berta and Rosario (Jesus’s wife and daughter, Eduardo’s mother and sister) over for a pool party on their day off from making Judy’s house beautiful, although they are some of Judy’s favorite people, she kept her distance and kept her mask on, but I (Morrie) surprised them by joining right in the fun. Click on the photos in order to enlarge them and read the story of our mutual surprises, as told by me, Morrie!!

Can Morrie swim? Most Scotties can’t swim. Too long in the body, too short in the legs. Bonnie can swim, but she has a short body. Did he like the water? Our first scottie — Mac A Dog — LOVED water, but he sank like a stone. Jeff used to take him out in a canoe and Mac would decide to dive over the side. Then Jeff had to dive over the side to rescue him. They didn’t yet make doggy life preservers back then.

Yes he swims like an otter. I know. Surprising. He has great motivation when one doesn’t throw the ball fast enough. I had the steps poured in case he ever jumped in when the pool wasn’t full and couldn’t get out.

OMG. At the beach, he took his ball to everyone we met, abandoning me the minute a stranger showed up. He thrives on company and wins everyone over. He never met a ball he didn’t like but that huge green half-eaten one has put all other balls on the back shelf.

Well. Morrie – thank you for delivering a great smile and a story well told! ♥ I’d be happy to swim with you!

If you ever came to my house, you’d for sure have the opportunity, at least if you didn’t return the ball fast enough.
