Southern Cross
Spread low on the horizon,
stars stretched on a rack of sky.
Star-crossed lovers that we were,
standing sternward at midnight,
sea spray whispering our names,
sleep sacrificed for starlight,
secure in each other’s grasp.

You should have taken a photo of the Southern Cross when you were here just in case a prompt came up with the topic of Southern Cross lol

I saw it on a ship, crossing the equator.. and once here in Mexico, on its side close to the horizon.
