I used to grow those in the house a long time ago. Do they flower? Mine never did.

They do, but after they flower, they die. Fortunately, by then they have produced so many chicks that you really don’t notice the ones that have died. In good conditions, they take four years to bloom. They bloom faster in bad conditions as basically they are putting out seed on stalks to try to find better places to grow.
