The Answer

if you don’t know what the question was, go HERE before reading this post.

And the answer is Here:

A few months ago I had a mouse problem and set traps in several hidden spots I thought they’d be attracted to.  I never did catch the mouse, but guess what critter I did catch?

The jam I’d smeared on the  little bait bar was completely gone, by the way. Obviously, the guilty rodent was better than I am at avoiding entrapment. True story!!!!

About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

AND I THOUGHT THE ANSWER WOULD BE “SHOCKING”~! But you were wise in putting the trap well out of the way, otherwise it could have caught a cat or dog, instead it only caught an unsuspecting forgetful person.

Hay if it should happen that you have a plane change in San Antonio, wouldn’t it be nice to have a late birthday snack or even a quick drink.
Actually the SA airport is quicker and easier to get to than the Austin one for me, but that would be OK too.

Maybe one of these days you can plan a layover so we can spend the night arguing or telling life stories with each other. Two type A’s must bring a lot of business to “AA”.

But I still plan to see you in the fall, which is not that far away~!
My son Mark is doing a lot better, he spent a week at Disney World Florida with his two sons, so I am trying to convince him to be my (newest) travel partner, all of the cute teeny-boppers have chickened out.

    BIRTHDAY HAIKU FOR YOU
    So by the way
    a happy birthday to you
    Now I had my say

If I must drive to Dallas, I must decline. I-35 from Austin to D-FW is the worst highway in Texas. I would rather turn south and buy you that drink in Guadalajara~!
But I guess it is a bigger hub than SA. A little cooler today, not quite 90

I gave it the finger twice, it seems! Yes..I am very familiar with that phrase although I have used it rarely in my life. Thought it more than expressed it! ;o). Most usually in traffic.
