I love it when you visit and have a good long look, Serendippity! I know I go overboard with photos of the animules, but can’t resist. Especially when they are sleepig.
I can’t list favorites because they are all special. Morrie makes me tear up for my lost Scotties and the heap of kitties reminds me of when I had kittens and cats AND dogs and a big Amazon parrot. Great pictures. I totally love the sleeping stuffy ducky.
Actually, I tear up when I see sweet Diego. I don’t think he’s in any of these but I published one of him with my cousin Kirk the other day and was shocked at how gray he was. I guess I should have noticed he was aging.. But he turned so frisky when Zoe showed up that I didn’t realize he was failing.
It doesn’t seem to get easier, either. You’d think you’d somehow get to accept that they pass before you, but I haven’t. I don’t think we every get used to it.
I miss them. All of them. Meanwhile it seems like yesterday we got the Duke — but he’s 7-1/2 now. If he were better with other dogs, we’d have another dog, but he’s not a good mixer. He came to us without those skills, but he is very happy as our only dog and so we have left it.
I’m getting tired looking at all of the sleepies and sleepers. Could count them instead of sheep 🙂

How can a heart not melt at a picture of a sleeping puppy? I would gladly volunteer to let a puppy snuggle and snooze in my arms.
