Gossip Girls
Those mean girl rumors may seem unrelenting,
but trust me their spreaders will soon be repenting.
Only fools spread secrets they know are untrue,
spreading rumors whose sharing for sure they will rue.
Their bony butts should be soundly spanked.
Their cheeks should be pinched and their hair should be yanked. . .
but trust me their spreaders will soon be repenting.
Only fools spread secrets they know are untrue,
spreading rumors whose sharing for sure they will rue.
Their bony butts should be soundly spanked.
Their cheeks should be pinched and their hair should be yanked. . .

Love gossip girls. Should be required reading for Jr high and high school audience. Canine feeding is fun too. Marvelous sense of rhythm,. Rhyme., Choice of words!

Except I changed Gossip Girls after reading your comment. Often after I write the poem, I can’t remember it a day later.. and I noticed the rhythm was off. So I changed two lines and also changed it to 4 line stanzas with a two line ending stanza. I hardly ever read anything I’ve written without changing something. Do you do this?

I am lazy about rewriting. And when I rewrite I tend to change things too much. Pretty soon I have a whole new story.
