Off shoot: FOTD Jan 9, 2024

Cee is taking off a month for a well-deserved rest, but as I was opening the front gate for my Tuesday English student, Eduardo, to leave, I noticed this interesting bloom at the end of a shoot my echeveria has been sending up for the past week or more. Had to share it. Click on photos to enlarge.

About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

Simply awesome shoot. And photos. You are still teaching young people. I’m happy to know this as you’re definitely a gifted teacher.

They do at this stage but not when open. I’ll try to remember to take a shot as they open so you can see. I’ve never seen one this tall, though. They must be reaching for the light!
