I was visiting him during Halloween the year I took this photo and we’d bought all those Reeses Bars to give the kids who came Trick or Treating. Usually he would buy the candy, turn off his porch light so no one would come to the door and eat the candy himself. That year I made him turn the porch light on so I could see all the kids in their costumes and pass out treats. Obviously, this is a staged shot, although he did put away a good many Reeses bars! I love seeing the costumes and handing out the candy, since for 46 of my past years I’ve lived in places where Halloween wasn’t celebrated or where I lived in such a remote place that no kids came there. When I lived in Wollongong, my roommates and I threw a Halloween party and had a sign on our house that said Bulli cemetery. We were all dressed as witches and all our party guests were in costume. Our neighbors called the police!!! They thought terrible things were going on inside. Ha. When we explained to the police that we were all teachers in the local schools and that it was just a party, they left empty-handed, no prisoners in tow.
I am so glad you included the Statue of Liberty. A great idea and dramatic indeed. Loved the tranquility of the sun movement photos too. Good morning, Judy.
I’m glad you appreciated the Statue of Liberty as a friend thought it didn’t belong. I’m remembering the thrill of seeing it with two friends from my youth..one of whom I hadn’t seen in 30 years or more.
Fantastic set!

Wow! I’m not sure which is my favorite, but dramatic is the right word!

If you are talking about the second to last photo, it is actually a sculpture on the beach in Puerto Vallarta.

Some real beauties Judy. My favourites are Forgotten Man and the doll juxtaposed beside him 😂😂

and left without treats in tow as well 🥺
The excuse, “it’s Halloween” is a good one 😂 but I am happy with just Easter eggs 😋

I wonder if we didn’t give them each a candy bar..If not, I’m ashamed of us.

What a wonderful dramatic collection, Judy. I loved the “death by chocolate” photo. And your skies pictured here are terrific. Have a great week!
