I got up at 6 for my 8 o’clock ride to the airport. The plane left at 12:35. This was our sendoff party!

It has been 17 1/2 hours since I set out on my journey from San Juan Cosala to Denver. It will be 10 more before I arrive in Sheridan. It is 1:40 A.M. and my plane doesn’t leave until 8 A.M. For some reason, although I could barely keep my eyes open on the cramped plane I flew from Houston on, now that I’m in a place where a couch is available, I’m wide awake. Sheridan tomorrow!!

      Yes.. and freezing cold the whole way thanks to overzealous air conditioning..I brought a light jacket but it isn’t enough. 6:31 and airport finally waking up. It was a looooong hard cold night on hard short benches.

    I’m SO glad I no longer have to fly across country and back every couple of months — and that was a 5-hour flight if no stops. I can’t tell you the number of times there were delays or unscheduled stops! Denver in the middle of the night was an experience in the 1990’s! Have a great time in Sheridan!
