Looking down from the upper lot gazebo into the sculpture garden. Quetzalcoatl still in progress––being painted. Spiderwebs galore. Here are a few of them.

About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

Hope to have a sculpture show of local stone artists down there this coming year, once I complete the Quetzalcoatl statue’s paint job. If iever! This is a project I started during the Covid year when we were all confined to our homes.

That is the most intricate one I’ve ever seen that is constructed along square lines!!! The is an area at least 12 feet long that is covered with both this cobweb and others less intricate. to the east of the gazebo that contains my hammocks. Every day there are more webs, more spiders. I think they are protecting me against mosquitos as I’ve only seen one in all the months they’ve been there. I bend down to walk under them without disturbign them if I have to walk down to peer over the wall.
