Mystery solved. All in all, he removed about a dozen of them, which I safely relocated in the spare lot. How could we kill anything that turns into something that looks like a hummingbird? Unfortunately, I’ve never gotten a photo of one.
Another great, eclectic collection, Judy.

It is called a tiger lily. We had them in South Dakota, as well, when I was growing up.

A fascinating, varied, set. That wiggly thingy makes me a bit squeamish

That wiggly thing was actually four crocodiles in the river across the street from where I stayed in La Manzanilla. Guess you wouldn’t have wanted to go for a boat ride with me?

Your galleries always make me smile. F.e. I love the stone-owl near the Holiday-“glasses” and the way, you combined the ornaments of the crocodile with those of the red flower and the sun mural.
For #235 I have these images :

That “stone owl” is actually a wooden piece carved by my husband. I hung it on a palm tree in my backyard here in Mexico and the plants had grown up around it. The quote is from Winnie the Pooh…”And owl moved to some other tree.” It seemed appropriate that it reside in the garden on a tree.

What a fabulous and eclectic gallery! I would not be smiling, should I find a creepy crawly on my collar….

Paciano was removing these larva from my Virginia Creeper vines (adequately named, right?) to relocate them to a spot where their refuse was less of a bother when this one inhabited him!

A wonderful job he was doing. And yes! Adequately named indeed!! Still… I shall leave the job to those not averse to creepy crawlers 😉

Love the pelicans in the first photo. Such a dramatic shot. Also love the curls of crocodiles and I was very amused by the tree with the practical, if not aesthetically pleasing, trim! I hope you’re not getting caught up in the current wave of violence in Mexico. Very scary stuff going on. Here’s mine this week: https://grahamsisland.com/2026/02/24/the-numbers-game-113/
