“We Are Headed North” reblogged

IMG_5085

Hello, LifeLessons readers, ForgottenMan here yet again.

Judy and her friend continue their “writing intensive” through tomorrow, both focused on writing their respective manuscripts. While she’s away Judy asked me to reblog some of her older poems. It’s a fun gig for me as I stroll back through her blog archive, wondering which to select. I did this once before, when she was on a trip. That time I arbitrarily chose to look only at her oldest posts, from 2013  (her first year blogging) to 2014. So I’m looking at 2015 posts this go-around.

Today I’m enjoying revisiting “We Are Headed North”, which she posted on her blog in October, 2015. You can read this lovely poem HERE.

From 1994: “What IS the Internet, anyway?”

Hello, LifeLessons readers, ForgottenMan here yet again.

While Judy and company continue their “writing intensive”, she found this old video circulating again, so she asked me to post it here. It never gets old.

“The Moon is Full and Waiting” reblogged

Hello, LifeLessons readers, ForgottenMan here again.

Judy and her friend continue their “writing intensive”, a retreat in her home, as they both lock themselves away from the outside world through Monday. They both are focusing on writing their respective manuscripts. While she’s away Judy asked me to reblog some of her older poems. “That Point” reblogged

Hello, LifeLessons readers, OkcForgottenMan here.

In Judy’s previous post she noted that she and a friend decided to exercise a “writing intensive”, a retreat in her home, as they both lock themselves away from the outside world today through Monday. They both intend to focus on writing their respective manuscripts. While she’s away she asked me to reblog some of her older poems. It’s a fun gig for me as I stroll back through her blog archive, wondering which to select. I did this once before, when she was on a trip. That time I arbitrarily chose to only look at her oldest posts, from 2013  (her first year blogging) to 2014. So I’m looking at 2015 posts this go-around.

First up is something she posted on New Year’s Eve. It’s called “That Point”, and you can read it HERE.

Judy’s Internet Woes Continue – a guest blog

This is ForgottenMan posting an update to let y’all know that I just got a call from Judy. She is again/still without internet, but she’s sending out good, good, good, good vibrations to her faithful readers and friends. Right now she and her house guests are watching what she describes as the most intense, spectacular lightning display of her life, to the southeast of her house, across Lake Chapala. I insisted she grab her camera and video it for us! I hope she can, but there is tequila involved tonight. Lots and lots of tequila.

For Daily Addiction’s prompt: Humane

This is ForgottenMan subbing for Judy while she and her nephew Ryan are traveling in Mexico. She asked if I’d like to reblog some of her old posts in response to the various daily challenges here. I decided to only look at her posts from 2013-14, her first two years of blogging here.

The Daily Addiction‘s prompt today is “Humane”. Back in April, 2013, Judy faced a minor dilemma: What to do about a swarm of wasps that decided to build their nest next to her kitchen door? What’s the humane thing to do? Her predicament is laid out in this photo essay HERE, and her subsequent solution is laid out HERE.

Today’s FOWC prompt is  “Handle”. HERE is a poem Judy wrote back in September, 2014, as a response to the prompt “Handle with care”.
