In A Mexican Bano–WordPress Close Up Challenge
I’d never seen a golden dragon fly like this and I loved the accenting texture of the window sill, as well. Now I wish I’d gently transported him outside as he seemed intent on getting through the glass instead of flying out the open door of the gas station rest room.

What an unusual and beautiful creature, Judy. Even its body appears translucent.

That reminds me of the FaceBook meme I saw recently: “Sometimes I pretend to myself I have insomnia. When what I really have is a good book and an inadequate respect for tomorrow.”
Nevertheless, the photos are fascinating!

Exactly my feeling. I can never bear to give up on the day. It has nothing to do with insomnia. I’m just not ready to stop doing.

Wow! This is gorgeous! I’m amazed it stood still for you to take your shot. And I don’t believe I have EVER seen a golden dragon fly like this one. Kudos to you!

Garry got a great pictures of a scarlet dragon fly once. I looked it up. They come in many colors, but the scarlet ones originate in China and Tibet, but have apparently made their way here in containers of produce. Now they have permanent resident visas.
The eastern amberwing (Perithemis tenera) is a species of dragonfly in the family Libellulidae. It is very small, reaching a total length of no more than 25 mm. The males have orange or amber wings. Both genders have a red pterostigma. — https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_amberwing
