The Prompt: Final Trio—For our final trio prompt of the year, write about any topic you wish, but make sure your post features a bookcase, something cracked, and a song you love.
When I came into the room
the bookcase, too heavily laden by far
had tipped and spilled our picture to the floor.
Its glass gathered with a broom,
the torn remains of us is saved here in a jar
I have neatly filed between fantasy and lore.
Short and sweet 🙂

As usual, I found a way to tangentially incorporate the prompt into something I was thinking about this week already and had even started to write last night: thegadabouttown.wordpress.com/2014/12/20/being-there/
The pings are gone. Long live the pings.

Er, don’t you mean short live the pings? Or was that just wishful thinking instead of commenting? I can’t tell you how many times I’ve written something the night before, put it in drafts and awakened to find it suits the prompt. Of course, one can stretch the significance of anything, but all is fair. Better than dashing off a couple of lines to be the first to post as some do. Now is that a kind comment for the Xmas season? Feliz! Judy

Thanks, dreamwalker. I like your name. I get the prompt of so many of my writings (and life choices) from dreams. Judy

Thank you! I’m also often inspired by my (very weird) dreams.
My name was also a (gag-worthy, nerdy) Star Wars reference to Luke/Anakin Skywalker. 😛
Happy Holidays! 🙂
