Turnabout is fair play. I asked you to tell me what your favorite post has been, prompted by the WordPress Daily Prompt, that asked me to do the same. A couple of you did post your favorites so it is only fair that I do the same.
I don’t know why I like this one. It is kind of silly, actually, and I guess I wouldn’t want to be known primarily for it, but I like it and I’m too lazy to go further back. Okay, I did find one more poem, a more serious one, that I like, partly because I haven’t seen my dogs for 7 weeks and also because it creates a complete memory of the morning I wrote it. I also like the fact that each line has both internal and end rhyme—something most readers don’t notice, but that contributes to the effect of the lines.
