Plot for Life

Plot for Life

The Prompt: If you were given a plot of land and as much money as you need, what would you do with it?

I’d build a large house with five wings surrounding a central kitchen/living room space.  Each of four of the wings would be a private quarters where  I and three  friends could live as we grow older.  The fifth wing would be for guests until it became necessary to have live-in help or a nurse.  Each private area would consist of a bedroom, bathroom, living room, small efficiency kitchen and additional room that could be used for writing, art, crafts or whatever hobby the occupant wanted to pursue and would also have its own small fenced-in garden.  There would be a larger garden surrounding the house and a small studio/gallery at the street entrance.

About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

I have the land. Just don’t have the money to build it without selling my present house, which I don’t want to do yet. On other hand, don’t want to wait until I’m too old to deal with building a new house. Just need fate to intervene with a plan and a good honest builder…J
