Reading your book on a train travel to Copenhagen yesterday ” lessons from a grief diary” I fell over some sentences that showed me something that I know so well from myself since my childhood. On page 45 ” he had to think about and rehearse what he was going to say. Consequently in group conversations, others were usually on the next topic by the time he was ready to comment on the last one”.
For years I didn’t know why it stressed me so much to be in groups. Now I know and take care to make breaks were I can recover in between.

I used to be so frustrating. I wanted to tell people to just stop and listen to him as what he had to say was always more interesting and thought-provoking than the idle chatter of the conversation.
