It’s been foggy all day. This evening as it began to lift, I caught this wonderful still life:

Minutes later, this little fellow made an appearance. He was the tiniest fawn any of us had ever seen–so newly born that he was still wobbly. His mother never did appear in the ten minutes we watched him.

Thanks, Joni. He/she was tiny. Looks big in this pic because I cropped and enlarged, but the dots show he’s newly on this earth. I need to research that–just what I was told.

I know the spots mean that he’s very young. My husband, the country boy, can affirm this.

I know, Mary. I keep thinking that. I think it would turn out better if you painted it, though. I have no talent whatsoever in that direction, but you certainly do.
