Crowded Secret
This secret
shared with only you
has become crowded.
Like a party with too many guests,
it spills up the staircase
and into private rooms.
This secret with only room for two
has nudged you out of my confidence
as this one and this one and this one
crowd in to offer advice
just as though
they had been invited.

The combination of the adjective and noun in this new prompt type can be so interesting. I love the way you have explained the crowded secret. Sometimes it is better not to tell a secret, especially at that age. My parties always had too many guests when I was younger. something you learn on the way.

Exactly. I’ve learned the same lesson. About secrets, too. I’m so glad you are feeling excited about this new prompt site as well! It’s one thing (of many, actually) that I don’t want to keep a secret.

At last a chance to be a little creative, although I decided to take a pause from creativity today – you can have too much of a good thing 🙂

Love the last stanza especially. When you tell someone something in secret, it’s a matter of trust being broken when they blab.
