   I say, might that be an English water closet? It appears that the user would be riding side saddle. Is an optical illusion making the seat look like it’s on sideways?

      This is the bathroom of the house I rent oceanside for 2 months of the year. The door is partially closed. You are seeing the side of the toilet…It is actually faced into the room in the normal manner. I could lighten so you can see the doorway, but I liked the effect of the dark as it is during the night, when I leave the light on as a guide. As we get older the bano becomes an ever more important aspect of our nights!!!
