About lifelessons

My blog, which started out to be about overcoming grief, quickly grew into a blog about celebrating life. I post daily: poems, photographs, essays or stories. I've lived in countries all around the globe but have finally come to rest in Mexico, where I've lived since 2001. My books may be found on Amazon in Kindle and print format, my art in local Ajijic galleries. Hope to see you at my blog.

I have so much respect for him, knowing what he has to go through from this sickening event while grieving his huge loss. The strength that he has is inspiring, this makes me want to do better, but ultimately, I truly hope love, respect to one and another, and peace will over come hatred, violence, misunderstanding soon. Being a new uncle recently, I want a better place for my nephew to live in the future. Our children don’t deserve this.

His reaction might seem wrong to a few because generally you are not supposed to not hate the murderers of your own loved ones. But those words are so powerful. To give what your enemy wants is their win and like he says in the end if we are not afraid of them they lose a big time. There is no need of a revenge.

To be honest, it is okay to forgive and carry on being strong but these actions should never be forgotten. Never!

Well said. When I saw his lovely wife and read his words, it for the first time made me feel a personal stake in what happened in Paris. There is so much violence in the world that taken en masse, I think we put up a protection against it. This one heartbreaking story brought it all across. What a remarkable woman she must have been to have had such a remarkable man as a husband. I’m sure the world feels her loss.

    It is working.
I pray that message from Antoine Leiris will touch some terrorists hearts, let’s pray many of them get to view it and hear it. That message is so moving, it surely must penetrate the most hate filled heart. For others they may as well keep blowing themselves up because they are already dead.
