      I loved the astrantia–a new flower for me. When I grow kalanchoe it always gets leggy and sparse of bloom. We’ll see how this does if I plant it. I’m just enjoying it in the house now. A plant like this costs less than a dollar! So lush.

        Gosh that does sound like good value. I don’t think we can grow them outside here. I always cut mine right back after flowering and then they sprout out again and seem to stay in a manageable state. The bits I cut off grow on well as cuttings – they make great presents.
        Here is my post back in May showing them mixed in with other plants – I must have got the watering, feeding and light levels right now as this year’s cuttings are showing signs of flowering as well as the mature plants.
