How Now?
I love this sequence of expressions as my long time friend Marti was relating a story to us. Since I’ve known her for 50 years–yikes!–I know these typical expressions. Only by taking almost constant photos was I able to capture them all. I enjoyed stretching this longtime friendship into the “now” during our 5 days together over Xmas.

Those are wonderful photos of Marti! They capture her so well.

I think so, too. I’m always hating it that I can’t capture the right look. This time I just clicked picture after picture in rapid succession. I didn’t use the setting on the camera that does so as many times they are out of focus.

🙂 She’s beautiful even in candid photos! That’s something I can’t manage! 😀
Good job!

Because I’m basically a portrait photographer I keep my digital camera in continuous shooting mode at 6 frames a second. This helps in a number of ways: stability, expression and choices. I teach all my photography students the same technique. You just increase the odds of getting better shots and it doesn’t cost you anything to shoot more frames.
Your post is precious as it captures the character of your friend in a casual setting. Love it!

Praise from you concerning photographs is always much valued, Bob, as I’ve never seen the equal of your animal photography. Thanks for kind words.

She does look great. I’m so glad as she had a rough year health-wise but now seems on the mend. Happy New Year, dear friend!!
