The ABC’s of Approaching a Volcano

Version 2

IMG_1458 (2)IMG_1455IMG_1459Just keep following the milk truck to Lala land!

IMG_1488And you just might be presented with a little surprise.  This is Colima Volcano venting and her sister mountain just over her left shoulder.  They call them fire and ice…one has snow on it, the other venting hot volcanic matter!

I can see this volcano from my house, but it takes me a few hours to get to it! My mineral hot water in my pool and hot tub is heated by this volcano, though. All my water comes in steaming hot. I have to cool it down in a cistern to use it.

I was in Pompeii and near Vesuvius last summer but you were brave to hike up to the edge of the crater. I viewed a video that said another large eruption is expected. In it, scientistis were trying to contruct a 3D model of the city on video in case it is again buried.

    Hello.

How nice to know that you visited Pompeii! It is unforgettable place. Many years ago, we spent one-week holiday in the town Sorrento, which is small and beautiful town. From there we made short trips to Capri, Pompeii and Vesuvius. My post was one of those places where we visited. BTW, have you been in Egypt? In 2011, we made a Nile Cruise. It was the most incredible trip, in which we travelled back in time. I have made 8 posts about it, if you want to see, those which we saw.

I wish you a very happy and healthful weekend!

No I’ve never been to Egypt, although I’ve been to the source of the Blue Nile in Ethiopia! Always wanted to go to Egypt. I’ll check out your blog. Can you give me links to the posts?

Well, I returned here again. Maybe my Egypt links went to Spam. Do you remember that I told you that I did find your comments couple days ago in Spam folder? If they are not there, then scroll down and look at the side bar on the right. There are listed many items, but there are also listed my travels, like Egypt, Italy, Russia and Norway.
