I love the variety of the women shown in this photo and how each one conveys a different story. The obvious focus is the woman in the white dress, but I also love the contrast between the basket of flowers and the bright turquoise satin purse, the woman looking right at me from behind the hand of the woman adjusting her chignon. Just so much going on that day of the rebozo parade and some of that is conveyed in this photo.
These are two favorite photos I found when looking through some old hard drives. I could save them for a specific prompt, but by then I might have forgotten them, so here they are in odd balls.

On the road to Tapalpa! This would have worked well for the curves prompt! Love this rusty roll of wire flung over the fence. Those old fences made out of whatever wood was at hand are still my favorites. You can see some of the famous October wildflowers scattered around in the tall grass.

Yes, great photos of the women. Just beautiful … all of them.
The fence line is a common fix for a post. Yet, when on my hobby farm in Canada. They soon rotted out. Maybe it was the winters that did it? Cheers Jamie.

I’ve even seen them use trees as fence posts.. or fence posts that developed roots and became trees. Old bedsprings are commonly used as fences in Mexico as well and at times can be very pleasantly sculptural.

Sure, even in Canada. Old vehicles, etc. Take a trip through our prairie provinces, sometime … hehe The wood usually rots here, but I’m sure there are exceptions. Trees are very durable given a chance. Cheers Jamie.

I have crossed Canada in a car, but lately I’ve decided I need to explore it more.

Okay … I like it. I’m not keen on the States. I’ve spent most of my time there, around Washington State.
I try not to go there now. I don’t care for the border situation or the over-the-top security issues. Taking your shoes off, etc. It’s demeaning. Thirty years ago. We just got on a plane arriving shortly prior to take off time. If it’s bombers they’re afraid of? Then make everyone go through with luggage, through a specially constructed room. Which can automatically detonate any bombs, etc.
Give the people back their dignity. We are not slaves, despite the way we are seen by authority. Cheers Jamie.
