This is a second try at the macro theme since I didn’t notice that the subject was plants and flowers for Musin with Susan’s macro challenge. Hope it isn’t too late. I’ve been doing a lot wrong lately. I think too much on the agenda.

This was shot with y Canon PowerShot SX710 HS, iso 400, 10.99 mm f/4 1/400
I think the little ants on each oval around the circle make it look a bit like a clock, with them being the numbers.
Maybe take a leaf out of their book and slow down. Lovely shot.

Wouldn’t want to be as busy as these ants are, Miriam. May I be a grasshopper instead?

Oh, please don’t be a grasshopper. Being from Sask. I stomp on every one I see. 😉

Nah..no wish to be an insect. Too short a lifespan. Nor a bird or any other animal. They can’t have blogs!

Yes, that does sound a tad more relaxed. 🙂

I can’t LIKE this — it’s too icky. but you have done a good job capturing it.
Should I tell you about the lady who traveled to Mexico and brought home a ‘barrel cactus’ as a souvenir for her dear Mom in Manitoba? Mom planted it and gave it a nice spot in the living room.
Then one winter evening she started hearing a funny “rustling” sound and discovered it was coming from the cactus. Frightened, she set the thing outside. A moment later it exploded and dozens of baby tarantulas were running all over her porch. Thankfully they didn’t survive the climate.

Reminds me of the story of the spiders in the beehive hairdo. Remember that one?

No, I’ve never heard it, but that would be awful, too.
We read this exploding cactus story in the newspaper soon after it happened.
