That kiss he gave that made me shiver?
I fear he is an Indian giver.
For once he’d given me a smack,
he said I had to give it back!

Yes. There’s always that danger. Christine Goodenough responding with a rhyme of her own that sent me back a few years. I mailed a poem to Wayne Green, the publisher of 73 Magazine. He returned it along with a rejection poem.
